Introduction
The first thing in creating rostering locations is to step back and define how you want to manage, report and invoice for your work.
At the top of the "tree", we have SACL (Sydney Airport Corporation) to which we will send the invoices and roster time sheets as backup documentation.
Then there are the 3 terminals, T1, T2 & T3, at which we will do the work. Each of the terminals in turn has a clearly defined area called arrivals and departures, with each of these areas also having discrete locations that we can refer to. In deciding how we want this represented in PowerForce, you first need to look at your requirements in terms of how you want to relate to the work area. In this instance, we have agreed that we will schedule only to the Terminal level (not concerned with arrivals or departures).
So in preparing to define the locations that we'll need, a recap tells us that we will never roster to the location called SACL, however, we will invoice SACL.
We will roster to T1, T2 & T3, so we'll need to create each of these as a "rostering location".

Create location SACL
The following are the generic steps in creating a roster location, we'll note them here to maintain the documentation flow.

We recommend creating the Client Code to reflect the short code (acronym) you would generally use to refer to this customer.

Create location SACL - Step 2

The important point to bring to your attention here is the "enable rostering" check-box. In this instance where we are creating the location (client / customer) SACL as an entry to which we will send all invocing, and no actual rostering taking place. Therefore un-tick the check-box.
This is not to say that you could not both roster and invoice the location (client / customer), in this instance we're not.

A couple of interesting pieces of information are coming together here in relation to client services and billing.
| Charge account to |
In this case where SACL is at the top of the hierarchy, we will not enter a value, but when we define the terminals we will (see below) |
| Company Debtor |
This is the company within PowerForce that this client SACL belongs to. |
| Service Commencement Date |
Ensure that you enter the correct date here as all other operations revolve around this value. |

Whilst we've chosed to change the billing period to 30 days, you may change this value later through the standard client management screens. However, it's just as easy to enter the details here.

Create location SACL - Step 6

For the purpose of contact details enter the valid details relating to this client.
You may complete this data later through the client management screens, however you need to enter a value for the field.

Create T1, T2 & T3 Step 1

In creating the client locations for T1, T2 & T3, you follow the exact same steps as you did for SACL.
Then when you come to this page, here you want to "enable rostering" because you are going to roster your staff to T1.

Create T1, T2 & T3

Similar to the previous change, here we're defining T1, which is a location of SACL.
Enter SACL as the Charge account to T1, T2 & T3. This will then consolidate all invoice processing to the client called SACL.
Ensure that you enter the same Service Commencement date as you have for SACL.
