Quick Look at Shifts - PowerForce Workshop™

Introduction 
With the scheduling workbench open, select a shift and double-click on it to see what's behind each shift.
The first thing that we want to do so that we can follow the same example throughout is to change the View on the scheduling workbench to select "Role Type" :
Find a shift which has the particular role that we want to look at, and we end up at a screen similar to below:

Information behind a shift

The relevant information on this screen:
| Editing Booking for ... |
Confirms details of the shift being edited. |
| Shift Type |
Normal Day |
Book and Post Times |
Book Time represents the time that was defined in the work schedule for this shift.
Post Time represents the actual worked times. In this example the employee worked the hours he was scheduled for. If you were to alter the post time it would then propogate throughout all the calculations.

| Classification Code |
This is displaying the pay class of the employee working this shift. You would use this information to confirm pays and charges. |
| Charge Code |
The system has calculated that this shift will be charged at Charge Code D5. |
| Standard Shifts & TRO |
These two fields come off the client work schedule and confirm that this is a scheduled shift vs adhoc. |

The cost of a shift

| Normal Hours (100) |
This line details the award interpretation of the Normal Day shift. This represents the cost of the shift. |
| Overheads |
The system has an ability to automatically accumulate overheads and include them in the cost of an individual shift.
All of the parameters relating to this are user configurable. |
| Fee Sched <FLAT> |
This outlines the client billing details, the <FLAT> indicating the fee interpreter is using the <FLAT> fee schedule to calculate its values. |
| Total Charge |
This outlines a summary of this shift, detailing the raw and % margins of this shift. |
