Manual Time Sheet Entry
Use the following screen to enter rosters manually.
The time sheet entry screen is a generic screen used to enter time sheet data onto the roster in instances where rosters haven't previously been generated or the application does not use the PowerForce Rostering module.
The time sheet entry screen works on the basis of one employee at a time. You may enter time sheet data across any date period (that is the dates do not need to be in sequence).
Select the employee for whom you're completing the time sheet. You have two options, either by entering the employee number directly into the Employee Code dropdown, or use the dropdown to get a list of all the available employee numbers in the system.
If the first method is impractical, use the Employee Name dropdown to get an alphabetical listing of the available employees. Please note that the dropdown will only list 'active' employees.

- Having select your employee, being to enter the shift details, one shift at a time.
Enter the date ( you may enter nn/mm)
- Enter the shift start time (either in 24 hour format, or am/pm designation - eg. 7, 7.30, 12, 00 (for midnight), 17, 5pm)
- Enter the shift finish time (formats as for the shift start time. Once you've entered the finish time, the display will update the 'Hours' column with the shift lenght.
- Enter (if applicable / required), the shift Break Time (start) and Break duration. If there are no breaks simply either tab through the field or use your 'Enter' key to move along to the next field. If you have made an entry in the break time field, the Hours column will update its display.
- Enter the 'Client Code' - you may use a double-click in this field to get a popup your available clients. The Client Name field will be automatically updated if you select / enter a valid client code. If there's no Client Name, then it may be a good indication that you've entered an invalid code.
- The 'Hours' column is a calculated field, therefore you'll not be able to selecct it for modification.
- The Shift Created column is also a display only field, which is updated post your 'Save' - ing the time sheet.
- Having entered a single day's times, let's say Thursday as in our example, all you need do it to Tab / Enter along the fields until the cursor moves to the next row (eg 2 Fri 02/01/09 below). The screen will automatically copy the previous line's details to the following line. If the shift is the same as the previous, you need only Tab / Enter between all the columns until you get to the next row. If at any stage the copied row is not the correct date for which you wish to enter a shift, simply re-key the date, and re-key the Shift Start and Finish times.
Having entered all the necessary shifts, press either Save or Save & Confirm to save the time sheet. The difference between Save and Save & Confirm is that Save will require for you to confirm the shift on the Scheduling Workbench, whereas Save & Confirm does exactlt that in one operation - and makes sense in the context that you're actually entering the shifts.
When the time sheets have been saved away, you will get a confirmation message such as below indicating the number of shifts created, and the 'Shift Created' column will be updated to confirm the same.
To move on and create the next time sheet entry, you need to press the Clear All button.
